Competitions...

We are pleased to announce a competition to win a camping or caravan holiday at one of the following Dorset Camping Parks: Sea Barn Farm, West Fleet Holiday Farm or Bagwell Farm Touring Park.

To enter, all you have to do is submit an article or review about something you’ve done whilst you’ve been camping or caravanning in Dorset.  Maybe you’ve visited one of Dorset’s major attractions like the Tank Museum at Bovington, Monkey World, the Abbotsbury Swannery or the Weymouth Sea Life Centre.  Or perhaps you’ve enjoyed visiting one of Dorset’s many historical sites.

Others of you may have enjoyed some of the outdoor pursuits Dorset is famous for: sailing, fishing, climbing or rambling.

Whatever it is send us a report of what you’ve done and where you’ve done it.  It might have been a visit you made during 2007 or one you’ve yet to make during 2008.  Whether it was a family trip, a group of friends, you and someone special or maybe you just came to Dorset to find solitude, tell us what it was that made your Dorset camping holiday special in 2007 or 2008.  We’re not looking for reviews of camping parks, but reviews of the places you went to and the things that you did!

The best reviews will be published on www.dorsetcamper.com and the one judged to be the best will win a holiday at the camping park of their choice.

To enter, either use the on-line form or send us an e-mail with your entry.  Include photographs if you want to, but make sure that you have the permission of the person who took the shot before you do so (send photos by e-mail attachment in “jpeg” format maximum size 350 X 250 pixels at 300 dpi or send colour prints or even drawings [non-returnable] to the address listed in the competition rules [make sure it is clear which review they are meant to illustrate]).

In entering this competition you are agreeing to the rules as published on this site.   Your review can be as short as you like, but no longer than 500 words.  The ideal length would be under 200 words, but we don’t want to cramp your style if you’re feeling creative!

Send us your entry by completing the on-line form, or by e-mail, but please be sure to include your full name, address, telephone number, the dates you visited Dorset, the name of the camping park you stayed at, your age (if under 18) and confirmation that you have your parents’ approval to enter (if under 18).  Remember, the judges will be looking for the following key information in your review: where you went, what you did and why it was fun for people or families with your interests.  Other things you might like to include are whether you thought it was good value for money (if it cost anything at all) and whether you would go there again or recommend it to friends.

There’s no limit on the number of entries you can submit, but remember, we’re looking for quality not quantity!

And don’t forget, we want entries from all age groups from Year 1 to 101! If you’ve been here camping or caravanning and enjoyed yourself whilst you were out and about, let us know!

GOOD LUCK!
